Had the opportunity to visit Shirks Country Market in Centertown, MO, and this is hands-down one of my favorite stops whenever I'm in the area! First and foremost, the deli here is nothing short of amazing. I always get the BLT, and it never disappoints. The bacon tastes incredibly fresh, and the produce on it is just as fresh. I also love to add their jalapeño cheddar cheese--so flavorful! A few jalapeños for an extra kick, and it's perfect. Another highlight for me is the bakery. The service is great and their banana bread is one of my absolute favorites--moist, tasty, and often fresh out of the oven. This market has so much to offer: * Fresh produce * Bagged candy, all packaged neatly with an Amish-style retail vibe * A variety of unique items to explore Next door, there's even a plant shop with a beautiful selection of plants, adding to the charm of this spot. The parking lot is huge, making it easy to stop by. It's handicap accessible, so there's nothing to worry about when it comes to accessibility. All in all, this place is a gem, and I truly love stopping by every chance I get!
I am not often this way, but whenever I am near Jefferson City I absolutely stop by here! Today I got the "sweet balogna" with Colby, pickles, mustard and mayo on their oatmeal bread and it was really amazing, I love the thin bologna slices. Peanut butter pie was so good! The peanut butter part was light and creamy and the crust is always good in their pies! They're all always very nice, friendly and helpful, and I just love going in there. I wasn't sure if the deli would be open when I got there at 8:30, but they open at 8 with the store, so I was very happy about that.
Superb selection of spices, jams, candies, baked goods and more. I had to restrain myself from over-buying. We stocked up on fun spice mixes (lime pepper, spiced chai latte, etc) and gooseberry jam and hard candies. Will definitely come back!

This place was cool! Loved the variety of goods. I spent way too much, but everything was delicious and fresh. I can't wait to go back to try the deli. The long was extremely long and the parking lot was full. The place is clean and the staff was courteous.
I love this place it's a local place we always get oatmeal bread and the trick to the oatmeal bread is not to get the ones in the front but to get the ones in the back so those are fresh right out of the oven and they're warm it smells really good in there. I'm always just like (sniffs aggressively) ahhhhhhhh, they're always really nice to us like we've never had a time where they were rude or anything. 5 stars this place is amazing
